Snellville Dental Group was founded in 1974 by Kent M. Mattison, DMD, PC, FAGD with the vision of creating a dental practice that treats every patient with dignity and first-rate care while intergrating the most up to date technology.  The office staff at Snellville Dental Group are highly-trained and exceptionally friendly. Mattison, DMD, PC, FAGD After graduating from the Medical College of Georgia's school of Dentistry in September of 1974, he immediately opened a general practice in Snellville, Georgia.  Dr. Mattison has enjoyed serving the Gwinnett County area for the past 30 years.  He plans to keep the community smiling for many more years.   Dr. Mattison is a proud father of 4 children and a grandfather to seven beautiful grandchildren.  His wife Cindy works side by side with him each day, just as she has for the last 30 years.  This truly is a "family" practice. Dr. Kent Mattison is also a proud and active member of many reputable dental associations including:  The American Dental Association, The Georgia Dental Association, and The Northern District Dental Society.  Dr. Mattison also holds an honorary position as a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry.  He has also been written up in Dental Journals for his techniques in impressions.  As a member of these associations, he has strived to update the practice and techniques to the highest of technology.  Through his endeavors in advanced education certification he has become an active and successful member of the Invisalign and Ortho Clear team.  He is proud to offer his patients a clear alternative to metal braces, while presenting them with the newest and most advanced dental technology.  Dr. Mattison has also intergrated the CEREC technology into the practice, which gives patients the opportunity to have crowns completed in only ONE VISIT!  If it is new, we have it! Although he strives to present his patients with the best possible care, he upholds a strict practice policy.  His policy is: " I believe that successful dentistry is the result of extensive educations, exquisite artistry, experience, and meticulous precision.  All of these balanced with a caring, gentle touch.  My hope is to help my patients retain their teeth for a lifetime with maximum prevention and conservative restorations to improve the health and beauty of their teeth with the least invasive techniques available.  In my practice, crowns are reserved for situations when a filling cannot do the job adequately.  Crowns are a last resort, not the first.  My staff and I also take great pride in presenting our patients with exceptional cosmetic dental care.  Giving a patient the smile they have always wanted is the greatest gift of all."
