Brief Intro

As a native New Englander raised in Massachusetts, Dr. Kenneth Miselis completed his undergraduate studies at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1974. In 1979, Dr. Kenneth Miselis graduated from the University of Vermont Medical School. He continued his post-graduate training with an internship at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. The internship allowed Dr. Miselis to practice a number of medical specialties before choosing to specialize in the field of ophthalmology. Dr. Kenneth Miselis went on to the internationally-known George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC, where he completed an extensive residency program in ophthalmology. After completing his residency and leaving George Washington University as chief resident, Dr. Miselis moved to California. Dr. Miselis was certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1984. He has trained in refractive surgical techniques since the mid 1980%u2019s under the personal tutelage of some of the leaders in the field %u2013 Drs. Richard Lindstrom, George Waring, Vance Thompson, Stephen Trokel and Leo Bores. He has been performing refractive surgery (LASIK, PRK, etc.) for 15 years. He is active in a number of local professional organizations, served as a board member for the San Joaquin Medical Society and has been Chief-of-Staff for Dameron Hospital Association. As Medical Director and Surgeon for Heritage Eye Associates, Dr. Miselis has been in private practice in Stockton since the early 1980's. During that time, he has built Heritage Eye Associates from a small ophthalmic practice to one of the largest full-service eye care facilities in California. Today, Heritage Eye Associates serves the needs of thousands of residents. Dr. Miselis has been performing eye surgery for over 20 years. With 15 years of refractive surgery experience (LASIK, PRK, etc.), he has performed thousands of procedures. Heritage Eye utilizes the latest and most advanced technology for maintaining and improving patients%u2019 vision. Dr. Miselis cares greatly about his patients. Through experience, compassion, and knowledge, Dr. Miselis is committed to vision maintenance and vision improvement for every patient he sees. Dr. Miselis resides in Stockton, Californiawith his wife. Their five children are out of the nest and either in college or beyond. He is a long time instrument rated pilot who uses his airplane to fly to his satellite offices and special need remote medical facilities. He enjoys traveling (flying in his plane to exotic locations in the western hemisphere) as well as taking his wife and children to places such as China, the Mediterranean and North Africa. He%u2019s also an avid golfer.
