Dr. Kenneth Smith is an Alabama (Opelika) native and a graduate of Auburn University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery training at the Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans and was the 1999-2000 Rachleff Fellow in Breast Surgery at Stanford University Medical Center.
Dr. Smith is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and a participating member of the American College of Surgeons Oncology Group.
His current interests include minimally invasive breast disease diagnosis and therapy and breast cancer risk assessment and risk management.
Dr. Smith is the Director of Breast Surgery Services at the John B. Amos Cancer Center/Columbus Regional Medical Center and is in private practice at Surgical Associates of Columbus.
