Kenneth Backman, D.M.D., F.A.C.D., graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1972. He completed a dental internship program at Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut and received his specialty Certificate of Advanced Graduate study in Periodontology at Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry in 1975. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology and has hospital privileges at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. Dr. Backman is past president of the Metropolitan District Dental Society, the Greater Boston Dental Society, and the Massachusetts Periodontal Society. He currently lectures throughout the country on periodontology.
