Born in Southern California, Dr. Friedman attended Tufts University as an undergraduate. He then worked for the University of Miami Tissue Bank before heading to New York City for medical school. While at New York University School of Medicine, Dr. Friedman received the Civilian Service Award from the Israeli Defense Force for his extraordinary efforts to create a student association whose purpose was to enrich the medical education and global experiences of medical students. He went on to perform his specialty training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the New York Medical College associated hospitals in Valhalla, New York. He moved back to California for Fellowship training in Orthopaedic Trauma from the University of Southern California. During his training, he lectured and published on ankle fractures and their variants. He further enriched his education with additional training in Soft Tissue Reconstruction, also at University of Southern California. Dr. Friedman is licensed to practice medicine in Florida and California and has now joined the team of experts at Kendall Regional Medical Center as an Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon.
Dr. Friedman is fluent in Spanish and enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing, SCUBA diving and Beach Volleyball.
