My Qualifications
I received my medical degree from the Albert Einstein School of Medicine of Yeshiva University in New York, New York. I completed my internship, residency, and fellowship at the University of California Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California. I am board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. I am also board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine by the American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. I joined the Permanente Medical Group in 1990.
My Healthcare Practice
As an oncologist in clinical practice, I find my relationships and interactions with patients one of the most enjoyable and rewarding parts of my job. I have a strong interest in hospice and end-of-life care and chose this specific field of medicine because it is a field that is constantly moving forward. It is challenging and rewarding on many different levels – medically, psychosocially, and spiritually.
Receiving Your Healthcare From Kaiser Permanente
Care at Kaiser Permanente is an integrated approach to medicine. All physicians caring for patients have easy access to each other and to information about their patients. Having also been in private practice, I feel that this access to information at Kaiser is a great advantage for patient care.
My Outside Interests
I am married with two children, a cat, a dog, a hamster, and multiple fish. My husband, Matt Carroll, is also a Kaiser physician. I enjoy the outdoors, staying physically active, horseback riding, and spending time with my family
