Joyce H. Kim, M.D. is Board Certified in Pain Management with additional Board Certification in Anesthesiology. Dr. Kim was born in Madison, Wisconsin and received a Bachelor’s Degree with honors from the University of Southern California where she was named a Renaissance Scholar for achievement in widely separate fields of study. She then attended medical school at the University of Michigan where she also completed her residency training in Anesthesiology. Dr. Kim then further specialized in interventional pain management at the University of Texas MD Anderson fellowship program in Houston, Texas. Dr. Kim specializes in the treatment of back pain, neck pain, joint pain, headaches, abdominal and pelvic pain as well as cancer-related pain. She places an emphasis on functionality and quality of life for patients with chronic pain through a holistic approach focusing on physical therapy, medication, procedures and lifestyle modification. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiology and a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
