A diagnosis of cancer is devastating not only to the patient, but also to their family and friends. My goal as an oncologist is to treat not just the cancer but the patient as a whole. I believe strongly in arming my patients with as much education about their illness and treatment as possible. I believe that the treatment we choose must be tailored to the patients wishes, with our first aim being a cure when possible and quality of life when not. My scope of practice includes treatment of most adult malignancies, and I work closely with other doctors, such as surgeons and radiation oncologists, to offer all necessary treatments.
