"I treat patients not x-rays".... What does that mean? It means that I take time to get to know my patients on a personal level and address their wishes and concerns. There is so much more to patient care than x-ray findings. How is your overall health? Social factors such as family/friend support, living situation, use of assistive walking devices, and type of employment are discussed. I am concerned about the patient as a complete individual, not only as someone with shoulder arthritis or a fractured bone. The individual characteristics of each patient are vital to a successful outcome. Medicine is both an art and a science. I believe in open and direct communication between patient and physician. Patient questions that need a physician response are answered only by me. I do not use physician assistants in my practice.
