Primarily serving patients in the Northwest Valley in the Banner Thunderbird Children’s Center of Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, Dr. Janik is a highly experienced pediatric surgeon. A graduate of the University of Illinois; he completed his internship and residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Ill. He then accepted a pediatric surgery fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. Specializing in pediatric general and thoracic surgery, Dr. Janik has been practicing since 1980. He’s focused on providing comprehensive family-oriented care to your child, and his relaxed manner is designed to ease any anxieties your child might have. Dr. Janik is certified by the American Board of Surgery in both general surgery and pediatric surgery. Specializing in general and thoracic surgery for premature newborns, infants, and children, he was named Fellow, American College of Surgeons (1987) and Top Doc by Phoenix Magazine in 2007.
