Dr. Cristoforo has also been appointed to the Committee on Clinical Practice of the American Academy of Periodontology. Professional Interests:"My primary professional interests are the treatment of periodontal disease, dental implants, and dental aesthetics. Periodontal treatment helps patients keep their teeth through the establishment of healthy gum tissue and supporting bone. For patients who are missing some or all of their teeth, dental implants provide a natural-looking, stable alternative to conventional dentures, bridges, and partial or complete dentures. Also, many patients can benefit from cosmetic procedures that involve cooperation between myself and a restorative dentist." Practice Philosophy: Dr. Cristoforo is committed to treating each patient as an individual. He listens carefully to each patient's questions and concerns, and thoroughly explains treatment options. He prides himself on having a leading-edge periodontal practice that includes periodontal plastic surgery procedures as well as the surgical placement of dental implants. Team Approach: Dr. Cristoforo works in collaboration with other professionals to provide the best care possible for his patients. Dr. Cristoforo communicates regularly with restorative dentists and specialists in other disciplines to help coordinate care for patients whose treatment needs require a multi-disciplinary approach.
