Jorge G. Arroyo, MD, MPH received his undergraduate degree at Amherst College, medical degree at Yale University School of Medicine, and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of California, San Francisco, and vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Duke University Eye Center. After over 20 years at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical School/Harvard Medical School, Dr. Arroyo has joined the rapidly growing eye care practice at Boston Vision. Dr. Arroyo is board certified by the American Academic of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the Retina Society, Macula Society, American Society of Retina Specialists, the international Club Jules Gonin, and the American Academic of Ophthalmology. Dr. Arroyo is the immediate past president of the New England Ophthalmological Society and continues to serve as a board member. Dr. Arroyo has published over 60 publications in peer-reviewed journals on macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion, vitreomacular traction syndrome, and retinal detachment. He is the author of two Up-To-Date topics: Age-Related Macular Degeneration and Retinal Detachment.
