Dr. Amador is a board-certified family physician with eighteen years of experience in private practice and ten years of teaching as Associate Professor of Medicine at two US accredited schools of medicine, University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and Universidad Central del Caribe. He also served 12 years as Attending Physician for the Family Medicine Residency Program at San Pablo Medical Center in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, and Georgia Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Amador believes medicine is not only a science but also an art. He says "As in every art form, masterpieces are not created in a rush. I believe the same principle must apply to the art of medicine."
It has been his experience that the most successful patient-doctor relationships are those in which the doctor and patient become partners. As a firm believer in preventive medicine, he performs thorough physical examinations and strives to achieve a comfortable rapport with his patients and caretakers in order to provide them with the necessary information they need to become proactive in their well-being. Dr. Amador and his staff are bilingual (Spanish) and accept most major insurance plans. Same day appointments and walk-ins are welcome.
