Dr. Donnelly received his undergraduate and medical degree from The University of North Carolina. He trained in pediatrics at the Children's Hospital of New Mexico and pediatric cardiology at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. His current academic appointment is as Clinical Assistant Professor, University of Vermont College of Medicine. His interests include diagnostic and intervention cardiac catheterization, and intensive care medicine. Dr. Donnelly is the only pediatric cardiologist in the state who is approved for transcatheter device closure of cardiac defects, and is experienced in the delivery of all FDA-approved transcatheter devices. Dr. Donnelly is a fellow of the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Intervention. Dr. Donnelly's research has been published in several journals including the Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascualr Surgery, Catherization and Cardiovascular Interventions and Journal of Pediatrics. He is board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology.
