Board Certified in both Sports Medicine and Family Medicine, Jon Woo, MD, enjoys bringing expert sports care to area athletes and dancers of all abilities and ages, from recreational to professional. Prior to coming to Seattle, he was assistant professor with the Medical College of Georgia and assistant director of the Southwest Georgia Sports Medicine Fellowship, the first, and at the time, only sports medicine program in Georgia. He has presented nationally on a wide variety of topics in sports medicine. He is especially interested in endurance sports and directs a high-altitude running camp in Santa Fe, New Mexico with world class Kenyan and Ethiopian athletes. Dr. Woo is also faculty with the Valley Family Medicine Residency at VMC, part of the University of Washington Family Medicine Residency Network where he practices full-spectrum Family Medicine with obstetrics his Sports Medicine specialty. He received his B.A. at the University of California, Berkeley, his M.D. at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia; performed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Shadyside Hospital and a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.
