Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:At the end of the day, we all want to feel that we made a difference. I always felt that medicine was that pathway for me. Medicine certainly gives us the chance to celebrate recovery and successes, while at the same time being forced to recognize our limitations. Medicine is a humbling occupation. What I want my patients to know about me:I love to laugh. Make me smile! I enjoy a challenge.What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I love activity. Outdoors is the best, especially triathlons, long-distance biking and swimming. I have had the privilege to bike the Pacific Coast Highway, Going to the Sun Highway, the Ride the Rockies event across Colorado, as well as local events such as the Philly Tri. Locally I manufacture exquisite sawdust on weekends in my attempts at woodworking. (The Amish have nothing to worry about!) Finally I participate with many of our WellSpan Ephrata providers to upgrade medical care at a Haitian hospital on the north side of the island, upgrading their lab and education network.
