Brief Intro

Academic practice of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. I provide medical, surgical and endovascular management options for patients with arterial occlusive and aneurysm disease. I perform both diagnostic and therapeutic angiography in the setting of a modern catheterization lab at the University of Wisconsin Hospital. patient care and teaching, our Vascular Service is actively involved in both clinical and basic research of vascular disease. I trained in general surgery at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. I spent 2 years of vascular fellowship at the University of Missouri under the mentorship of Professor Donald Silver. I have been at the University of Wisconsin-Madison since finishing my vascular fellowship in 1991. I am currently an Associate Professor of Surgery. I serve as the Chief of the Section of Vascular Surgery at the Wm. S. Middleton Veteran's Hospital, and as Program Director of our Vascular Surgery Residency at the University of Wisconsin. I have an active vascular surgery practice at the University Hospital and Meriter Hospital in Madison, offering patients both open surgical and endovascular therapies for vascular disease.
