Dr. Goering received his Bachelor of Science degree from Hastings College(1992), and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Medicine(1997). He completed his Residency in General Surgery at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin(2002). He joined Surgery Group of Grand Island in 2002. He is certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support, and is a member of the American Medical Association, the Hall County Medical Society, the Nebraska Medical Association, the American Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery. Dor. Goering is an active sports enthusiast and coach. He and his wife, Katie, have a daughter and two sons.
