My father was an otolaryngologist and a professor of otolaryngology at the University of Pennsylvania. Because of this, I had early exposure to this field of medicine, which resulted in my going to medical school and choosing this field of endeavor for my training. I feel that one of the most important roles I have as a physician is to educate my patients so that they will understand their symptoms and the diseases that are being treated. I feel that all patients should be treated with respect and encouraged to express their concerns with their symptoms. When not practicing medicine, I enjoy singing in my acappella group, the Hitman, and being active outdoors. I also enjoy tennis, golf and traveling with my family.
