Dr. Jeffrey Moore is proud to announce the opening of the Alaska Orthopedic and Sports Medicine practice with Dr. Elisha Powell at the Anchorage office at Alaska Regional, Medical Office West, Building B, Suite 310. Dr. Moore also sees patients on Thursday afternoons at his Eagle River location in the Providence Eagle River building, Suite 204. Dr. Moore received his undergraduate degree from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, and his medical degree from the University of Southern California. He completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. After completing his residency, he entered the Air Force where he served as Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at both Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, and later at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage. Most recently he has been in private practice in Anchorage, Alaska since 2001. He has continued his interest in sports medicine as team physician to numerous high schools including Chugiak, as well as head team physician for the Alaska Aces professional hockey team and the University of Alaska Anchorage intercollegiate teams. He has also obtained a subspecialty certification in Orthopedic Sports Medicine. Dr. Moore has been appointed to the national Council of Delegates for the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine. Dr. Moore is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons, and brings extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries, including shoulder and knee arthroscopic surgeries, and adult reconstructive procedures such as total hip and knee replacements.
