Dr. Mitchel is board certified in internal medicine and in cardiology. He specializes in preventive cardiology, diagnostic cardiac catheterization, pacemaker implantation, and women and heart disease. The conditions he treats include angina, cardiomyopathy, congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, heart attack, heart failure, and heart valve disease. Dr. Mitchel received his MD from NYU School of Medicine and did his residency and a research fellowship at New York University Bellevue Hospital Center. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and of the American Heart Association.
