Dr. Colbert is an experienced, board certified orthopedic surgeon with expertise in all aspects of orthopedic surgery as well as sports related injuries. He has performed thousands of successful joint replacements, arthroscopies, trauma and fracture repairs. With over 25 years in practice in the Santa Monica and Marina del Rey areas, Dr. Colbert serves as the Chief of Surgery at Marina Del Rey Hospital and as a member of the hospital's Medical Executive Committee. He is also a director of CAST Surgery Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Colbert has also served as assistant team physician for the Los Angeles Clippers and cares for many professional athletes. He is an avid cyclist, skier, golf and tennis player who is conservative in his treatment modalities and training approach. He is firmly committed to getting his patients back to their own top performance through careful diagnosis, expert treatment and personalized care. Dr. Colbert holds a bachelors degree from University of Michigan and an MD from Wayne State University. He served as chief resident at Boston University Hospital, where he completed his residency, as well as cheif resident at Shriners Hospital and Leahy Clinic. He completed his general surgery residency at Cedar's Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
