Brief Intro

As a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Ferrari is an expert in the surgical and nonsurgical treatment of bones and joints. He is especially skilled in treating sports injuries, with expertise in arthroscopic shoulder surgery for rotator cuff or other injuries and arthroscopic knee surgery. He is also highly skilled in the latest techniques for joint replacement or partial-joint replacement in shoulders, hips, or knees. Additionally he performs reconstructive ligament and cartilage surgery. With a life-long interest in competitive sports, Dr. Ferrari served as a volunteer physician for a number of athletic events, including the Pan Am Games in Winnipeg, Canada. He eventually decided to further his training in orthopedics and sports medicine and did a five-year residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. Dr. Ferrari has participated in three separate fellowships, recieving specialized fellowship training in 'upper extremity reconstruction;' 'orthopedic sports medicine and arthroscopy;' and 'lower extremity reconstruction.' While doing his second fellowship at TRIA Orthopedic Center, he worked alongside team physicians for several professional sports teams, including the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Minnesota Twins. Most recently, Dr. Ferrari served as an orthopedic surgeon at the Center for Neurosciences, Orthopedics, and Spine (CNOS) in Dakota Dunes, South Dakota. With his extensive training and experience in family medicine, sports medicine, and orthopedic medicine; Dr. Ferrari says he brings a "unique perspective" to caring for his patients. He uses a conservative, patient-centered approach, stating "it's very important that my patients understand all their options."
