James R. Gordon, M.D. is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in comprehensive ophthalmology, LASIK surgery, and oculoplastic surgery (eyelid and facial cosmetic/reconstructive surgery. Dr. James Gordon has performed thousands of procedures including LASIK, no stitch cataract surgery and many other laser and non laser procedures. He has a particular expertise in the more challenging cases. Dr. Gordon has published numerous articles and has given many lectures on eye and facial procedures. During his residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center in Manhattan, Dr.Gordon founded the Cosmetic Clinic of Cabrini Hospital. He has been involved in the research and development of the Friendly light erbium laser, the world’s first portable erbium laser for skin resurfacing. He is also a certified trainer in this laser.
