James M. Poole, MD and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatricians (FAAP), is a graduate of Clemson and the Medical University of South Carolina. A nationally recognized speaker and author on childcare and managed care. Dr. Jim founded Growing Child Pediatrics in 1997. He also assisted in the founding of Camp Challenge for children with asthma, The Growing Child pre-schools, and Healthy Childcare America â€" a partnership with the Academy of Pediatrics and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. His wife, Lillian, and their adult sons keep him active in a variety of sports.
