James M. Johnston, MD is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine. He serves as team physician for the Idaho Steelheads, the Idaho Stampede, Meridian High School, and the FC Nova Soccer Club. Dr. Johnston served in the U.S. Navy in Charleston, South Carolina as head of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Naval Hospital. He was deployed to the Persian Gulf as head of Surgical Team 10 in 1988 and again to Desert Shield/Desert Storm. He has practiced in Boise since 1992 and joined Boise Orthopedic Clinic in 1999.
