Brief Intro

I am a general internist with previous experience in primary care. I began my career at the Wake Med Raleigh Campus where I practiced primary care and hospital medicine from 1997 to 2004. I also taught UNC medical students and residents at the Wake Med Raleigh Campus. I have practiced hospital medicine at Wake Med Cary Hospital since 2004. I currently lead a physician assistant student teaching program at Wake Med Cary. I have strong interests in both inpatient and outpatient care and strive to improve transition of care from the inpatient setting back to the primary care setting. I also have a strong interest in nursing education and since 2010, I have presented a monthly interdisciplinary conference for our nursing staff covering common acute care problems.
