Born, raised and educated in Oklahoma, Dr. McMurry earned his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1965 and became a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed an internal medicine residency in 1969 and endocrinology training in 1971. Dr. McMurry is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a member of the Endocrine Society and a former President of the Washington, DC Affiliate of the American Diabetes Association. After practicing for many years in his solo medical practice in Montgomery County, Maryland, Dr. McMurry and his wife Rebecca moved to Leesburg. During his time off, Dr. McMurry enjoys photography, genealogy and exploring early Virginian history with his wife.
