Dr. James Rose received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where he also completed his residency in Neurosurgery. Dr. Rose went on to become a Kempner Fellow and Sr. Registrar at the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow, Scotland. After his medical training, he served as Flight Surgeon in the United States Army in both Vietnam and at Letterman General Hospital in San Francisco. Dr. Rose is Board Certified in Neurological Surgery and is a member of both the American Medical Association and the Texas Medical Association. Dr. Rose has served as an associate professor of neurosurgery at the Baylor College of Medicine for 25 years and most recently at Houston's Methodist Hospital Neurological Institute. He joined the Seton Family of Hospitals in November 2010 as a neurosurgeon. His interests include complex vascular lesions and tumors of the brain as well as the spine and brachial plexus disorders.
