James Livermore, MD, has 30 years of experience and was one of the first orthopedic surgeons to practice on Whidbey Island. He is part of a team that is on call 24/7 to provide emergency surgery at Whidbey General for patients who have suffered trauma. He serves on the hospitals Trauma Committee, which evaluates incidents treated at Whidbey General to ensure that the trauma care provided meets the highest standards. He stresses patient education and works closely with patients to evaluate all options, ranging from conservative treatment to surgery. Dr. Livermore joined our medical staff in 1982.
