Already well published, Dr. Safir's manuscripts have appeared in urology journals in the U.S., Canada, and England with his most recent publications focusing on telehealth. He was recognized as a Howard Hughes Research Scholar during his undergraduate work and received the Highest Scoring Senior Resident Inservice Exam Award during his residency.

Dr. Safir earned his undergraduate from Cornell University and his medical degree from University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery internship at Emory University School of Medicine, his urology residency also at Emory, and a Fellowship in Men's Health-Andrology at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine.

Dr. Safir is Board-Certified and a member of the American Urological Association.
