I specialize in surgery for weight loss as well as treating and preventing metabolic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia. I am an active member of the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and I have presented and published topics related to obesity at national meetings and journals. I earned my MD at Ross University School of Medicine and completed a residency at St. Luke’s and a fellowship at the University of California School of Medicine. I perform a wide range of advanced procedures through minimally invasive or laparoscopic techniques. This means that incisions are very small which translates into decreased pain, less or no use of narcotics and an expedited recovery. I also perform a wide range of foregut procedures.
