Dr. Ian J. Dempsey, M.D. began at Union College's Leadership in Medicine program, obtaining an MBA from Union Graduate College. He holds an MD from Albany Medical College, specializing in shoulder, knee, and elbow issues. With extensive sports medicine experience, he served as team physician for Chicago Bulls, White Sox, Fire, Joffrey Ballet, and the 2018 Laver Cup tennis players. He also cared for Chicago State University's basketball teams and the Chicago Steel ice hockey team. His research focuses on advanced approaches to optimize athletes' return to sport. With over 50 publications and presentations, he's an accomplished expert.
