Brief Intro

Dr. Huy Dao is a board certified general surgeon with minimally invasive surgery training. He completed his general surgery residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan where he was also a clinical instructor at Michigan State University, Department of Osteopathic Surgical Specialties. He continues to instruct medical students from Midwestern University, Touro University and University of California, Davis. In February of 2009, Dr. Dao implemented a bariatric program at Emanuel Medical Center, where he is also the Director of Bariatric Surgical Services. Since the implementation of the bariatric program, we have had great success with our laparoscopic gastric banding patients. Dr. Dao specializes in advanced laparoscopic procedures for the gastrointestinal tract, bariatric procedures and hernia repairs. He frequently lectures at medical education platforms on laparoscopic gastric banding, laparoscopic anti-reflux surgery and laparoscopic hernia repairs.
