Hunter Charvet Sr., DDS Back to Meet Out Doctors Dr. Hunter Charvet Sr. received his undergraduate degree at the University of New Orleans. He then went on and graduated with his DDS degree from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in 1980. After graduating he joined his father, Dr. Emile J. Charvet Jr. in private practice. Each year Dr. Hunter Sr. completes well over one hundred hours of advanced dental continuing education. He has completed extensive advanced training in the areas of Implant Dentistry and Endodontics. Dentistry is constantly advancing and the continuing dental education allows him to stay on top of the latest dental techniques and technology, and provide our patients with the advanced care they deserve. Dr. Hunter Sr. is a member in good standing in the New Orleans Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association and American Dental Association. Dr. Charvet has now earned his fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and he is a graduate of the Misch International Implant Institute. Dr. Hunter Sr. and his wife have two sons, Hunter Jr. and Heath. They are anticipating the birth of their first grandchild in June. In his free time Dr. Hunter Sr. enjoys spending time outdoors and is an avid hunter and fisherman. Off shore fishing is his favorite past time.
