I don’t just focus on the disease that I am treating, but I look at the patient as a whole when evaluating and making treatment recommendations. I take into consideration their age, performance status, co-morbidities, and I respect their autonomy, wishes and consent. I make recommendations that I think is the best for each patient, and there would be no difference in how I would treat my own family members.
