Dr. Lipham received his M.D. from Wake Forest University, Bowman Gray School of Medicine, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He performed his residency in internal medicine, as well as a fellowship in pulmonology, at Cleveland Clinic Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio. He joined Mountain Medical Associates, L.L.P. in July 1981 where he specializes in pulmonary medicine and is affiliated with Haywood Regional Medical Center. Dr. Lipham is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Diseases. Other medical interests include sleep medicine and critical care. He is the Director of the Sleep Lab, Intensive Care Unit, Respiratory Therapy, and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, at Haywood Regional Medical Center.
