I wanted to be a physician ever since a little kid in Colombia, where I was born. I never considered another profession, and I continue to enjoy working with patients every day. Although I did not envision my eventual practice in the fields of substance abuse disorders and the treatment of patients with chronic pain, I have ended up where my abilities are put to good use.
