Dr. Hanit Kalo grew up in metropolitan Detroit and is a graduate of Cranbrook Kingswood Academy. Her passion for helping children started then, while volunteering at a runaway shelter during high school. She continued her studies at the University of Michigan as a Movement Science major, all the while volunteering at Mott Children's Hospital. Upon receiving her medical degree from Sackler School of Medicine and completing her pediatric residency at New York University, Dr. Kalo returned to the Detroit area to be with her family and future husband. She has been in private practice since 2007, and happily joined Mali & Mali Pediatrics in 2010. Dr. Kalo enjoys spending her free time with her family and pet shih tzu. Some of their favorite activities include spending time outdoors, traveling, and the performing arts. Other interests include pilates, dance, pet therapy, and foreign languages and cultures. Dr. Kalo is a dedicated pediatrician who cares for her patients, their families, and their health concerns as a whole entity. She looks forward to building long term relationships with her patients while sharing smiles in the process.
