He relocated to Texas in 2016 to further his training and escape the Midwest winters of Ohio. Dr Khalaf specializes in Ophthalmology and retinal diseases and surgery. Education He obtained his college degree in an accelerated program of 2 years with Magna Cum Laude distinction from Kent State University. Then, he attended medical school at Northeast Ohio Medical University. Following that, he completed Ophthalmology at SUMMA Health System where he served as the Chief Resident. Due to his research project on a mouse model of ROP, he was awarded the James S. Tan, MD Award for Basic Science Research in 2014 and 2016.
