Brief Intro

Dr. Lercel began working with Chaparral Medical Group on 9/01/06 as an orthopedic surgeon. After completing his orthopedic residency at the University of Southern California, he went on to do a sports medicine fellowship at Los Angeles Orthopaedic Institute (LAOI) in Sherman Oaks, CA. While at LAOI, Dr. Lercel gained additional training in arthroscopic and reconstructive procedures of the knee, shoulder, ankle, and elbow. He also participated in the care of high school and college athletes both on the athletic field and in the training room. Dr. Lercel treats all age groups in a wide variety of orthopedic issues involving the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle, and foot. He especially enjoys doing arthroscopic procedures, joint replacements, and orthopedic trauma. After obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of California, San Diego, Dr. Lercel went on to receive his Medical Doctorate degree from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Dr. Lercel is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
