Dr. Smith joined the Lake Region Healthcare Medical Staff in 1995. A native of Bismarck, North Dakota, he graduated from the University of North Dakota, earned his medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and completed his residency in pathology at Sioux Valley Hospital and the University of South Dakota School of Medicine. Dr. Smith is certified by the American Board of Pathology and a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists. He is the Medical Director of the Lake Region Healthcare Lab and is the Otter Tail County coroner. Dr. Smith has three children.
