Dr. Doering grew up in Boise, Idaho. He did a four year tour in the Air Force as a medic and then married Peggy in 1974. He then finished undergraduate education at the University of South Dakota in 1975, and moved to the Dominican Republic for four years of medical school. He came back to the University of South Dakota for his internship and residency in Internal Medicine. He moved to Spokane, Washington in 1983 into private practice. In 1993 he joined Spokane Internal Medicine. He and Peggy have raised three children, Laura, Chris, and William. His special interests include family time, fishing, snow skiing, and construction.
