My training and experience with adult medical problems is extensive. I like to partner with my patients to prevent illness whenever possible. However, when circumstances or genetics create a problem, my goal is to treat patients non-judgmentally, and work with them for the best possible outcome and quality of life. I have a relationship of mutual respect with my patients. I truly enjoy being a physician. I am honored that my patients highly respect my ability to listen and treat their healthcare problems. I feel a responsibility to be readily available, appointments rarely fall behind schedule, and same day visits are usually possible. I also strongly believe in patients' rights to medical care and have worked intently toward that end as the volunteer medical director at the Greater Milwaukee Free Clinic. For ten years, the free clinic has provided 15,000 patients' visits and has donated $6 million in services. I have received multiple awards and have proudly been recognized by my colleagues at the State Medical Society of Wisconsin as the 2004 Physician Citizen of the Year. In 2005, I received the distinguished Humanitarian Alumnus Award from the Medical College of Wisconsin.
