Dr. Savatsky graduated from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, was a surgical resident at Rush-Presbyterian/ St. Lukes Medical Center in Chicago, IL. He was a Fellow in Orthopedic Research at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. He spent a clinical year there in Sports Medicine with Dr. Russell F. Warren and the late Dr. John L. Marshall. He did his Orthopedic Residency and a Fellowship in Surgical Arthroscopy under Dr. John McGinty. Dr. Savatsky founded Orthopedic Spine and Sports Medicine Center t in 1988.
