Gary B. Weiss, M.D., Ph.D. specializes in medical oncology, hematology and pain management. He is board certified in internal medicine, hematology, medical oncology and pain management. Dr. Weiss received a Summer Humanities Award from National Endowment for the Humanities; a grant from National Cancer Institute; a grant from the University of Texas Medical Branch Cancer Center in Galveston, Texas; a National Student Research Forum Certificate of Special Appreciation; the Nellie Westerman Prize, honorable mention; and a grant from American Cancer Society Institutional Research Committee. Since 1977, he has also served in numerous teaching positions at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
