My philosophy is to treat the patient, not just the disease. For instance, many five-year-olds are involved in imaginary play. I took it a step further by creating an office-based clinic where medical services were provided to "Malibu Barbie" and "Mr. Snuggles." Over the years, the fascination grew, and my exposure to medicine instilled the desire to pursue a career in primary care.
Although I now see diverse health-related needs, my interests are in geriatric conditions and women’s health. I try to provide specialized care to align with the physiologic aging process and provide emotional support to patients and caregivers. I am trained to assess fall risks, perform standard cognitive evaluations, and address polypharmacy. I also manage your bread-and-butter conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and thyroid disease.
In 2014, I earned my medical degree from Aureus University School of Medicine in Aruba and later completed my family medicine residency at St. Luke’s University Health Network. The pursuit for knowledge continued as I ventured down to Philadelphia, where I did a fellowship in geriatrics at Temple University Hospital/Crozer-Chester Health. I returned back to St. Luke’s, where I now do outpatient medicine.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling, kayaking, spending quality time with my family and indulging in the local cuisines.
