Francis O. Agbonkpolo, MD, is Director, Anesthesia at Montefiore Einstein and Associate Professor, Anesthesiology at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Agbonkpolo’s clinical focus centers on general internal medicine.After earning his Doctor of Medicine at the University College of Medicine in Ibadan, Nigeria in 1982, Dr. Agbonkpolo moved to the United States to continue his medical training. He completed his internal medicine residency at Harlem Hospital, Columbia University in 1994, followed by his anesthesiology residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School in 1997. He completed an interventional pain medicine fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1998.Dr. Agbonkpolo is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Pain Management.
