Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:Growing up involved in caring for polo horses, I initially wanted to be a veterinarian. I grew to value much more greatly the reward of working closely with and caring for people. Surgery, especially plastic surgery allows me the constant technical challenge for skillful creativity and call to perfection concurrent with the intellectual challenge of practicing medicine, which together transforms lives.What I want my patients to know about me:I value the unique privilege and select opportunity to work with each patient. I always strive to give my best. It is my hope that each patient will feel like he or or she is my only patient.What I do when I'm not seeing patients:When not seeing patients, I indulge in my other passion: my family (my husband, two daughters, an Airedale and two poodles). Additionally, I also have an avid interest in competitive USTA league tennis, triathlons (especially the cycling) and I can't wait to watch local polo matches. And finally, after having a significant personal field hockey playing experience, even more exciting to me will be cheering for the USA Field Hockey Team at its home field only 20 miles away.
