Evan Nadler, MD, is a pediatric surgeon and researcher. Dr. Nadler recently joined Children's National Medical Center and serves as Co-Director of the Obesity Institute. Dr. Nadler performs bariatric surgery on adolescents who meet certain criteria. He works closely with the multidisciplinary team of pediatric specialists in the Obesity Institute. Dr. Nadler's basic science research focuses on the liver fibrosis associated with biliary atresia. His clinical and translational science investigates the systems biology of obesity surgery, and the safety and effectiveness of various weight loss procedures in adolescents.
